Load Span calculator
Use this quick calculator to provide you with a rough guide for sheet
deflection and width for a given load. The
results from the formulae used in the calculator are based on the
following limits:
1.5 Safety factor against pop-out or sheet buckling
15mm effective edge engagement
Deflection limit of 4% of the span
which we would recommend as good design practice.
For
further clarification view the following drawings
Deflection allowance
drawing. Edge
Engagement drawing. Instructions:
1. Select the sheet thickness you require
2.Enter the load, as this facility is intended to be used as
only a guideline, loads can not be calculated greater than 1.5kN/m^2
if you require further information contact Technical support.
3.Press Enter Button. |
