 | | Brett Martin Building Products manufactures bespoke pipework and fittings for large-scale civil engineering operations, such as water treatment and wastewater plant applications, across Ireland from its Mallusk site in Co. Antrim.
Demonstrating an approach to problem solving that utilises its in-depth experience and technical know-how, Brett Martin is able to manufacture pipes and fittings for large-scale projects where a customised approach is required.
From its dedicated fabrication facility Brett Martin provides contractors with a problem-solving solution. Recognising that the civil engineering contractor is working to tight deadlines and budgets, Brett Martin is able to reform, weld and shape plastic components according to very specific challenges they face onsite.
Brett Martin’s expertise and its service delivery to the civil engineering sector can currently be seen on the North Down network of Cloughy, Seahill and Ballywater WWTW, a project worth £15million. In these projects Brett Martin’s products have been used as part of the overall solution to address the issue of sewage into the sea faced by the resorts on the coast there.
The Belfast Sewer Project has also benefited from Brett Martin’s technical background, onsite advice, fast production, delivery and unrivalled service. The project has used Brett Martin sewer pipes and fittings, together with specially fabricated components, which are manufactured to meet specific project requirements arising from the challenges of on site variation.
The North Coast Waste Water Treatment Scheme is the most complex EU Urban Wastewater Treatment and EU Bathing Waters Directives compliance scheme to be undertaken in Northern Ireland and is one of Northern Ireland Water’s largest ever single capital investment projects. Now fully operational, the £45million North Coast wastewater treatment works represents another project, where the Co. Antrim manufacturer’s duct, sewer and twinwall products were instrumental in the gravity sewer solution.
Similarly the Carrickfergus and Killyhevlin wastewater treatment works required significant troubleshooting input from Brett Martin’s team, to address the requirement for specially fabricated channels and junctions. These bespoke elements were necessary to fit with the specific requirements of the WWTW as specified by the design team.
